SHARON TOWNSHIP FISCAL OFFICER
Howdy, neighbor.
I’m Justin Adkins.
I was appointed Sharon Township Fiscal Officer on November 30, 2025, by the Board of Trustees. I safeguard the township's financial well-being: making sure its money is spent as the law and the Trustees direct, managing our investments, handling payroll and taxes, and maintaining the Township's records.
In November 2027, I’ll be on the ballot, and I'm asking for your vote so I can keep doing this important work.
THE JOB
What the Fiscal Officer does
The Fiscal Officer looks after Sharon Township’s financial well-being. That comes down to three things.
1Guards the money
Makes sure township funds are spent only as the law requires and as the trustees appropriate them, and manages the township's investment portfolio.
2Maintain compliance
Puts fiscal controls in place and keeps the township in compliance with Ohio law.
3Keeps the records
Writes the minutes and maintains many of the township’s current and historical records so they are there when a public records request is received.
WHO THIS OFFICE SERVES
Do you live in Sharon Township?
Sharon Township once ran from Morse Road north to the Delaware County line, and from Cleveland Avenue west to the old village of Linworth. Most of that ground is now Columbus, Westerville, Worthington and Riverlea. What was never annexed is governed by the Township’s Trustees and served by its own Police Department and Road Department. Fire protection has come from Worthington since the Township turned its fire department over to the city in 1994.
If you live in Worthington, Riverlea, or one of the unincorporated areas, this is your Fiscal Officer.
Not sure? Look up your address with the Franklin County Auditor and check the tax district.

ON THE BALLOT · NOVEMBER 2027
Justin is running in November 2027
Justin was appointed to fill the seat. In November 2027 he will ask Sharon Township voters to keep him in it. If you like what you see here, there are a few easy ways to help: volunteer a few hours, put a sign in your yard, or chip in a few dollars.
